Why CasaNido

Local rentals that do not disappear after the post is gone.

Airbnb and Vrbo are useful when you want booking and payment handled inside a platform. CasaNido is for a different moment: finding local rentals that usually get buried in groups, stories, and referrals, then starting a direct conversation with the host.

Useful local filters

San Carlos changes a lot by area. Filtering first by beach, marina, Country Club, Caracol, or Miramar makes comparison easier.

Caracol

Gated peninsula with 24-hour security; 200+ view homes and the semi-private Cotton Cove beach. Ocean views and walkable stays.

Bahía / Marina Real

At the foot of Tetakawi, with hiking routes from the sector and Marina Real (356 slips, ramp, dry storage). Marina and monthly stays.

Villa Hermosa

Off the boulevard (~km 11.5): walk to La Posada beach and the restaurant strip. Families and weekends.

El Creston

Southern half of the commercial strip, between the boulevard and the Los Manglares waterfront road. Residential rentals and less driving.

Ranchitos

~1,000 m² lots with a country feel and the town's only elementary school; room for a boat or RV. Space, pets, and long stays.

Country Club

Residential community by the golf course. Golf, quiet, and community.

Clear water at Playa Los Algodones

Miramar local guide

Miramar is Guaymas's home beach: a residential strip on Bacochibampo Bay, about ten minutes from downtown Guaymas and fifteen from San Carlos. It's quieter and more local than San Carlos, with beachfront homes, family apartments, and generally friendlier prices — without giving up the beach.

What the area is like

Playa Miramar
The strip along the water: homes and condos with direct access to the sand and the seaside walk. The most requested spot for vacations.
Residential streets
Behind the beachfront row are quiet streets of family homes — good space for the money on monthly stays.
Near the Guaymas entrance
Ideal if you work in Guaymas or need its services daily: hospitals, schools, and shopping are minutes away.

Seasons and tips

  • In summer the beach fills with local families, especially weekends and school holidays; weekdays are much calmer.
  • Winter is mild and quiet: a good season for longer stays if you prefer a residential feel over a touristy one.
  • For restaurants and nightlife, San Carlos is fifteen minutes away; for errands, groceries, and hospitals, Guaymas is next door. Miramar works as the midpoint between the two.
  • Nearly all rentals here are run by local hosts; ask about monthly rates if your stay runs past three weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Miramar or San Carlos — which should I pick?

San Carlos has the restaurants, marinas, and tourist energy; Miramar is calmer, more local, and usually cheaper, with the beach just as close. Pick San Carlos for nightlife, Miramar for a residential beach and quick access to Guaymas.

Can I live in Miramar and work in Guaymas?

Yes — it's one of the most common setups: downtown and the industrial side of Guaymas are ten to fifteen minutes by car, which is why monthly and long-term rentals move well here.

Is the beach good for kids?

Playa Miramar slopes gently with calm surf inside the bay, which is why it's Guaymas's traditional family beach. As at any beach, check the day's flags and conditions.
